Help KBR continue its tradition of delicious and interesting Kiddush treats on Shabbat morning, and on holidays. Got a great recipe? We can’t wait to try it!
Volunteers will prep the meal in KBR’s kosher dairy kitchen, under Rabbi Ron’s kosher supervision.
Timing: Friday morning, to be finished by 2pm, or Thursday evening, in the timeframe of 5-8pm.
- “cholent” (vegetarian, in the form of a traditional cholent, or a lentil soup, chili, etc in the KBR slow cooker — get inspired at this link or here)
- hummus, or egg salad, or other dip/salad (or this can be purchased at Trader Joe’s)
- a vegetable salad, dip platter, or fruit tray
- KBR will provide all crackers, chips, and other things unless you want to do that, too
You can choose any menu you want, but please run it by Rabbi Ron to clarify any kashrut concerns or logistics. (If you’re not into Crock-Pots, you could also use the oven at KBR to bake or roast items before Shabbat, to be served cold or at room temperature.)
Save any receipts! You will be reimbursed, or you may use this as a donation opportunity, and receive a donation receipt for the amount you spent.
