The sale of chametz is an important law, the observance of which is necessary for the maintenance of the Passover Kashruth of the Jewish home. Chametz that is retained by a Jew during the holiday may NOT be used after the holiday unless it was previously sold through the procedure prescribed by Jewish law. Our religion provides for the legal sale of chametz with the Rabbi generally acting as agent. This sale is not a legal fiction. In order to demonstrate its efficacy, a reasonable donation should accompany the form.
Rabbi Kelman may be reached by email or phone if you have any questions. Please keep in mind that chametz MUST BE SOLD before 10:00am Pesach Eve. Afterwards, it may no longer be possible to sell your Chametz.
Fill out the form with your name and contact info. Please make sure that it has been submitted before Friday, April 6, 2020.
