Yoni Rose, Tenor, with Zoltán Neumark, Piano
Join us for a special Chanukah-themed program of operatic and cantorial selections, featuring Yoni Rose, Cantor of the Frankfurt am Main Jewish community, and alumnus of the Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Program. Yoni sang with leading opera companies in the United States including Wolf Trap, Glimmerglass, and The Santa Fe Opera, and has performed as a cantorial soloist in cities including Budapest, Prague, and as a Guest Cantor at the Jerusalem Great Synagogue.
Robert Nestor is a noted architect with many Santa Fe landmarks to his credit. He served on the Board of KBR for many years, and has been a pillar of the learning that is at the core of our mission.
Robert Sacks has been a long time fixture of the Santa Fe Jewish community. As a member of the St. John’s faculty, he has written extensively on Jewish topics. A long-time supporter of KBR, he is now working through Rambam’s Guide with us — for the second time!
Menu features: Nigella sourdough rolls with olive oil. Salad of mixed greens, arugula, endive and cucumber with a sweet tarragon vinaigrette. Warm rosemary Israeli couscous with golden raisins, zucchini, red bell peppers. Spinach, mushroom, potato bourekas. Chicken breasts stuffed with smoky butternut squash and caramelized onions in a golden tomato sweet wine sauce. Vegetarian option: stuffed bell peppers with a mushroom tomato sauce. Fish option also available. Followed by chiffon cake with cherry-pomegranate frosting and coffee.
